Menu Assistant is a tool in Merchant Portal that finds and fixes problems with your menu. Spend less time fixing your menu and more time running your business. Your menu assistant automatically catches problems like unclear item names, missing modifiers, and inconsistent prices, then suggests one-tap fixes. Depending on the change, your menu assistant will apply changes automatically or wait for you to preview, apply, or dismiss changes, with the ability to undo any change at any time.
What types of changes can your menu assistant make?
Your menu assistant includes recommendations to fix:
Unclear category, item, modifier, and option titles
Incomplete descriptions
Missing modifiers
Suboptimal category order
Inconsistent prices
And more!
How can you use your menu assistant?
Enter the ‘Menu Manager’ within your Merchant Portal, and tap the “Menu Assistant” button in the top right corner.

Under the Needs review tab, you’ll see a preview of each recommendation and can choose whether to apply or dismiss each. By applying changes, your assistant will make the change to your menu.

What improvements will your menu assistant make on your behalf?
Your menu assistant will make a number of high-confidence, low-risk changes on your behalf, including ones that fix text issues and organize menu layout. You can opt in for additional automated changes, or opt out of these default categories under the automations section of the menu assistant.

Can I see what changes have been made or the impact of the menu assistant’s actions?
To see which actions your menu assistant has implemented, navigate to the summary tab. Here, you can view all applied recommendations and undo any changes if necessary.
To see if those changes have helped drive more sales, visit the Insights tab in your merchant portal. Under Product Mix, you can view sales performance for items with menu assistant recommendations applied.

Can you undo a change?
Yes. You can always undo a change in the Summary tab of your menu assistant by clicking undo on the relevant change.
Can you turn off the menu assistant?
Yes. To turn off all automations, open your menu assistant, tap “Automations” and uncheck all automations.
