As your business partner, DoorDash is committed to ensuring that you have a high-quality integration experience, no matter which point-of-sale (POS) or middleware partner you select. The DoorDash Preferred Integrations Program (DPIP) is how we bring that commitment to life!

How does the DoorDash Preferred Integrations Program (DPIP) work?

Based on exhaustive research and merchant feedback from the front lines, the DPIP is designed to help you select the right partner for your business or see where your current provider stands so you can ensure they're building the best experience for you.

The DPIP takes a two-pronged approach to deliver you the highest quality integration experience possible:

  • Behind the scenes, we're collaborating closely with our integration partners to ensure they meet functionality and performance standards that have the highest impact on your restaurant operating experience.

  • Designed specifically for merchants, our easy-to-use DPIP webpage tracks POS and middleware providers' integration health in real-time based on required performance standards and onboarding, and live order management feature offerings.

Minimum performance standards

To ensure you have a high-quality integration experience, regardless of which POS or middleware provider you select, all providers must meet and maintain minimum performance standards:

  • POS proactive cancel rate below 1% - Provider effectively syncs store data with DoorDash in real-time to ensure you only receive orders you can fulfill

  • Merchant avoidable cancellation rate below 1% - Provider has built robust features that make their system easy to use

DoorDash Preferred Integrations criteria

To be a DoorDash Preferred Integration, the provider must meet and maintain minimum performance standards and meet the following criteria:

Have at least 250 DoorDash stores using their integration

Support all high-quality features we've determined to have the greatest impact on integration quality:

  • Order ready signal - Notifies Dashers as soon as an order is ready for pick-up enabling faster deliveries.

  • Real-time menu syncing - Automatically pulls the most up-to-date version of your menu from your provider into DoorDash, reducing cancellations

  • Self-guided store setup - Enables you to complete the integration process on your own and at your own pace

  • Self-serve store activation - Helps you onboard and launch your integration in one go

  • Real-time item 86ing - 86 items on your POS or middleware and see changes on your DoorDash store in real-time, reducing cancellations
