Sponsored Listings are ads that are featured in highly visible places in the DoorDash app, like the homepage and the top of relevant search results. They’ll help your store stand out from the crowd, and unlike ads on other platforms, you’ll only be charged for orders placed through your ad — not for clicks or impressions.
For those on the Marketplace Premier pricing plan, ads are automatically run on your behalf at no extra cost².

A Sponsored Listing (also known as an ad) allows your restaurant to get top visibility on relevant channels, such as the DoorDash homepage and in search results. If customers search for your cuisine type or for keywords related to your restaurant, you will have more visibility in their search results.
A Promotion, on the other hand, is a special offer you provide to your customers to encourage them to order from you. Think about Promotions like coupons: whether it’s a $0 delivery fee or item discounts, you incentivize customers to order from you by offering them a deal.
Sponsored Listings appear on the homepage and in relevant category and search results. This means your business will appear ahead of the competition as customers explore their options in the DoorDash app.
Your Promotions can be seen in select homepage carousels, your store page, and the Deals section of the DoorDash app.
There are a number of different Promotions to choose from. Start by deciding whether you want to offer a promotion that covers your entire menu, one that only applies to certain items, or one that’s only valid during a certain time of day.
Examples of promotions are:
Menu-wide: Best for restaurants that want to optimize for overall sales or new customers, regardless of when or what those customers are ordering.
Item-specific: A good choice for restaurants that want to offer some discounts, but only on certain items, either because they’re easy to prepare, have a high profit margin, or are new to the menu.
Time-specific: A great option for restaurants that want to increase orders during a specific time of day.
You can then decide to either target all customers or choose from new, existing, or lapsed customers.
No, you don't. The DoorDash marketing suite is designed for busy merchants with varying levels of advertising experience. In the Merchant Portal, navigate to the Marketing tab and select Run a Campaign and we’ll guide you through the creation of your ad campaign.
Once your campaign is live, you’ll be able to easily make adjustments and monitor its performance in the Merchant Portal.

The free trial credit covers $100 worth of marketing cost per eligible store.
Marketing cost includes the customer discount, marketing fee, and applicable taxes.
You’re responsible for covering additional costs if the trial exceeds $100 in marketing spend.
If a store has not reached $100 in marketing spend before the campaign ends, you’ll forfeit the remaining credits.
You can cancel your campaign at any time.
Credits are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
