As your business partner, DoorDash is committed to ensuring that you have a high-quality integration experience, no matter which point-of-sale (POS) or middleware partner you select. The DoorDash Preferred Integrations Program (DPIP) is how we bring that commitment to life!
How does the DoorDash Preferred Integrations Program (DPIP) work?
Based on research and merchant feedback, the DPIP is designed to make integration quality transparent, so you can select a provider that meets DoorDash's reliability standards, or see how your current provider stacks up.
The DPIP takes a two-pronged approach to deliver you the highest quality integration experience possible:
Behind the scenes, we collaborate closely with our integration partners to ensure they meet functionality and performance standards that have the highest impact on your restaurant operating experience.
Designed specifically for merchants, our integrations page tracks POS and middleware providers' integration health in real-time, based on minimum performance standards and high-quality features.

Minimum performance standards
All POS and middleware providers on DoorDash must meet and maintain minimum performance standards to ensure orders can be processed reliably. This includes: POS proactive cancel rate below 1% - measures how often orders are rejected before reaching your POS due to issues like store closures or unavailable items. A low rate indicates the integration helps prevent unfulfilled orders from being sent.
Merchant avoidable cancellation rate below 1% - measures how often orders are canceled after they reach your POS. A low rate indicates the integration keeps menu data, availability, and operations aligned to reduce avoidable cancelations.
DoorDash Preferred Integrations criteria
To be a DoorDash Preferred Integration, the provider must meet and maintain minimum performance standards and meet the following criteria:
Have at least 250 DoorDash stores using their integration.
Support all high-quality features we've determined to have the greatest impact on integration quality:
Order ready signal - Notifies Dashers when an order is ready for pickup to improve timing and coordination.
Real-time menu syncing - keeps your DoorDash menu aligned with your POS to reduce outdated or unavailable items.
Self-guided store setup - Enables you to complete the integration process on your own and at your own pace.
Self-serve store activation - Helps you onboard and launch your integration in one go.
Real-time item 86ing - updates item availability across systems when items are marked unavailable.
Item availability checks (item polling) - Allows DoorDash to verify item availability in real time, helping reduce out-of-stock cancellations
