Meet Taqueria Arandas

Taqueria Arandas is a Texas-based restaurant franchise serving authentic Mexican food, such as tralita-style tacos and taquitos. Originally started by the Camarena family, the first Taqueria opened in 1981. To date, the business operates 26 locations across Texas.

The challenge: Managing multiple ordering systems

Initially, Taqueria Arandas customers could order from several online ordering providers, including Uber Eats and Online Ordering, our brandable online ordering solution that makes it easy to grow sales across your own channels (website, native apps, social media, Google page). However, navigating these different options was sometimes difficult for customers. Taqueria Arandas wanted to find a way to quickly grow their direct online sales while also providing customers with a seamless online ordering experience.

The solution: Online Ordering

Taqueria Arandas made several quick and easy changes to improve customers' online ordering experience. First, they transitioned to offering only Online Ordering on their website. Second, the DoorDash team added the Smart "Order Now" Button and its pop-up feature on the business's website. The Smart Button simplified the customer experience by giving them a clear path to making direct online orders. Diners could now immediately see a pop-up button with a clear call to "Order Online." As customers scroll through the site, the button floats alongside them so they can easily order when ready. Just like with Online Ordering, Taqueria Arandas used its own branding with Smart Button and can make additional custom changes in minutes.
