Grants from $5,000-$15,000 are available for local businesses such as restaurants, flower shops, liquor stores, convenience stores, pet stores, and local grocers in the U.S., Puerto Rico, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada that have been impacted by natural disasters like fires, floods, or hurricanes.

How the Disaster Relief Fund works
Fund is activated
DoorDash activates the fund to help businesses and the communities they serve respond to major disasters. We activate the fund on an as-needed basis and encourage eligible merchants to apply.
Applications Accepted
When the fund is activated to respond to a specific disaster, we’ll open up an application. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, each disaster-specific fund is typically open for 4-6 weeks.
Grants Distributed
Applicants will be notified of their status within 30 days of the application deadline. Selected grant recipients will receive the funds the month after the application period closes.
What the Disaster Relief Fund can cover
This funding is designed to help you get back on your feet and continue serving your community. Examples of expenses this fund can cover are (but are not limited to):
Utility reconnection fees to restore power, gas, or water service
A week or two of payroll to keep your core team intact while you rebuild
Inventory restocking to get items back on the menu or shelves
Equipment replacement or repair that insurance won't cover or takes too long to process
Emergency cleaning, sanitation, or debris removal costs to meet health and safety standards for reopening
Short-term storage fees for salvaged equipment or inventory
Temporary signage or supplies to let your neighborhood know you're back open
Who can apply
DoorDash prioritizes small businesses that are on the DoorDash platform, including but not limited to restaurants, flower shops, liquor stores, convenience stores, pet stores, and local grocery stores. Businesses must have:
A brick & mortar location
No more than three total locations
50 or fewer employees per location
Been open for at least six months
Revenues of $3M or less per location in the last 12 months
Located in United States, Puerto Rico, New Zealand, Australia, or Canada
Been impacted by an eligible state or federally-declared natural disaster, including but not limited to wildfires, hurricanes, and earthquakes
Applications must be submitted within 12 months of the declared disaster. Grants can be used to cover expenses directly related to an eligible disaster.

If you operate a restaurant in the United States or Puerto Rico, you can apply for a grant from the Disaster Relief Fund at Hello Alice.
If you operate a restaurant in Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, you can apply for a grant from the Disaster Relief Fund at Global Entrepreneurship Network.
Grant recipients will be selected based on criteria published. Recipients will be notified on a rolling basis after 30 days of the application closing.

Be a for-profit business located and registered in the U.S., D.C., Puerto Rico, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
Be a local business with a brick-and-mortar location (e.g., restaurant, bakery, flower shop, liquor store, convenience store, pet store, or grocery store)
Have experienced revenue loss due to an eligible natural disaster
Have 3 or fewer locations
Have 50 or fewer employees per location
Have been open for at least six months
Have $3M or less in revenue per location
Be independently owned
